I love to wash my fruit with lemon essential oil. It's a great way to naturally remove all the waxes, chemicals, and dirt that may be lurking on your fruit. Plus I find it helps preserve the fruit for a longer period. My strawberries will last 2 weeks in the fridge (if my kids don't gobble them up) instead of just 1.
Add 3-5 drops of lemon oil to a large glass bowl.
Fill bowl halfway to 3/4 full of water
Add fruit (apples, pears, strawberries, you name it) and let it soak for 1+ minutes.
You can enjoy your fruit immediately if you want to enjoy the lemon taste. The lemon will fade after a while.
